Settling velocity characterization of aquacultural solids 总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
A top-loading settling column is described and used to characterize the settling properties of the solids in the discharge water from a commercial rainbow trout production facility. Mass-based and phosphorus-based settling curves are presented. The median settling velocity on a mass-basis for the settleable solids was 1.7 cm s−1. The median settling velocity for the settleable phosphorus was 1.15 cm s−1. Manually stripping fecal material from rainbow trout resulted in settleable solids with a median settling velocity of 0.7 cm s−1. Examination of the settling velocity curves show that halving the overflow rate (OFR) from 2 to 1 cm s−1 changes the removal efficiency from 0.61 to 0.73, an increase of about 20%. Halving the OFR again to 0.5 cm s−1 increases the removal efficiency to 0.81, an improvement of about 11%. Settling characteristics of aquacultural solids will vary from facility to facility. The methods described in this paper can be used to perform a similar type of analysis at other aquacultural sites, which may be growing other species under different management regimes. 相似文献

AbstractSeveral types of water soluble carbohydrates (WSG) were traced into plant parts of a winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivar from heading to physiological maturity. Field grown plants were harvested at intervals of a few days and divided into grain, chaff, leaf blades, leaf sheaths, rachis + peduncle and culm internodes. Leaf blades and sheath showed the peak of WSC contents at about anthesis. Culm internodes accumulated fructan and sucrose during the early grain-filling phase, from a week after anthesis until the milk-ripe stage, then remobilized them during late and final grain filling phases, from the milk-ripe stage until maturity. The amount of sucrose known as short-term storage WSC was higher than fructan known as long-term storage WSC in each internode throughout the grain-filling phase. Chaff showed a large amount of fructan and fructose before anthesis, although it did very little sucrose. A pattern of sucrose accumulation in chaff was very different from that of fructan, unlike the other parts. These patterns of changes in WSC contents in plant organs roughly corresponded with four grain-filling phases, the initial, early, late and final phases. 相似文献

从美国引进的39个高羊茅草坪草种分成了5个生态类型,在1999—2000年从每类中找出一个具有典型性状的草种,测定其周年草坪坪质表现、根系活力、叶片可溶性糖含量变化,同时测定各类草种在高温胁迫下保护酶活性与质膜透性的变化。结果表明,根系活力及可溶性糖含量在一定程度上影响着草坪坪质的周年变化。同时,草坪草叶片MDA含量的增长率和草坪草叶片的质膜透性增长率具有显著的正相关效应。在40℃高温胁迫下,草坪草叶片SOD与POD相对活性和MDA含量的增长率及PMP增长率具有显著的负相关效应,5个草种对高温的抗性能力大小顺序是:Gooden>Regi ment>Tomahawk>SR-8210>Brandy。在此基础上,最后对草坪草抗性的准确快速检测方法进行了讨论。 相似文献

【目的】 研究连花柴芩可溶性粉对风热犯肺所导致的鸡发热、咳嗽、食欲减退、口渴喜饮等证候的临床疗效。【方法】 采用鸡传染性支气管炎病毒人工攻毒建立风热犯肺证肉鸡病例模型,将出现典型风热犯肺证临床症状的150只鸡纳入到试验中,并随机分为5组,30只/组,分别为连花柴芩可溶性粉高、中、低剂量组(连花柴芩可溶性粉浓度分别为4、2、1 g/L),麻杏石甘颗粒药物对照组(1 g/L),模型对照组,另设30只为健康对照组。除健康对照组和模型对照组外,各试验组连续饮水给药5 d,记录给药前后鸡的精神状态、体温、呼吸道症状、采食及饮水的变化,并检测各组鸡的免疫器官指数、外周血免疫细胞亚群指标,综合考察连花柴芩可溶性粉的临床疗效。【结果】 连花柴芩可溶性粉高、中剂量组对风热犯肺所致的鸡发热、咳嗽的总有效率分别为90.00%和86.66%,显著高于模型对照组(P<0.05),且对病鸡采食量下降、饮水量增多具有较好的缓解效果(P<0.05);连花柴芩可溶性粉能提高病鸡免疫器官指数,促进病鸡外周血中CD3+、CD4+、CD8+ T淋巴细胞增殖,且连花柴芩可溶性粉高、中剂量显著高于模型对照组(P<0.05)。【结论】 连花柴芩可溶性粉对风热犯肺所致的鸡发热、咳嗽、食欲减退、口渴喜饮具有较好的缓解和治疗效果,结合药物量效关系和经济成本等因素综合考虑,推荐连花柴芩可溶性粉临床应用剂量为2 g/L,饮水给药,连用5 d。 相似文献

目的:研究裙带菜可溶性膳食纤维对体内内皮素-1水平的影响。方法:40只大鼠分为4组(n=10):正常对照组、高脂模型组、膳食纤维低剂量组(5%)、膳食纤维高剂量组(10%);经裙带菜可溶性膳食纤维处理8W后,检测血浆内皮素-l(ET-1)水平,并用RT-PCR检测内皮素-1(ET-1)mRNA表达水平。结果:裙带菜可溶性膳食纤维显著降低ET-1水平并伴随着(ET-1)mRNA表达下调。结论:裙带菜可溶性膳食纤维能降低高脂血症大鼠血浆ET-l的水平,这可能与ET-1mRNA表达水平的下调有关。 相似文献

摘要:对青藏高原地区6个垂穗披碱草(Elymus nutans)居群8个不同生育期的可溶性糖(WSC)和粗蛋白质(CP)含量进行了测定。结果表明,居群间不同生育期WSC和CP含量存在显著差异(P<0.05),种源地来自青海共和县居群和甘肃临潭县居群WSC含量在整个生育期显著高于其他4个居群;CP含量甘肃玛曲县居群显著高于其他居群。整个生育期,WSC含量呈单峰曲线,初花至盛花期最高(P<0.05),初花期WSC含量最高为6.91%,最低为1.58%,CP含量整体表现为下降趋势,完熟期最低。不同居群间WSC和CP含量均表现出一定变异度,其变异系数变幅分别为36.47%~51.29%和4.76%~20.29%。相关性分析表明,WSC与CP含量呈显著负相关。 相似文献

In order to elucidate whether fruit maturity stage influence the induced resistance of exogenous elicitors in tomato and the involved mechanisms, we investigated the defense responses of tomato fruits against Botrytis cinerea, ethylene production and internal quality following treatments of fruit with salicylic acid (SA) or ethephon (ET) at mature green (MG) and breaker (BR). SA significantly suppressed decay and disease incidence in tomato fruits at both MG and BR stages, along with higher expression level of PR1 gene after 2 days of treatment. All fruits treated by SA had lower contents of ethylene and lycopene. The ET-treated fruit at both maturity stages showed lower disease incidence and higher level of PR2 and PR3 expression compared with the control fruit. ET treatment significantly enhanced ethylene and lycopene contents, and accelerated fruit ripening. Our results suggest that SA and ET induced disease resistance in fruits by mediating the expression of different pathogenesis-related genes and have different effects on fruit ripening, which in turn influences the disease resistance of tomato fruits. 相似文献
